Atlus Announces Atlus Online

Atlus has begun registration for Atlus Online.  What is Atlus Online, you ask?  That is a fine question indeed.  According to the page, it will be a portal providing “awesome online games, a vibrant community, and a boatload of interactive features.”  If you have a hard time imagining what Atlus Online will be like, you may want to check out what I believe is the Japanese equivalent: Atlusnet.

I fooled around on Atlusnet a while back since I saw there were some online games, including a Persona one – I am a sucker for anything Persona.  The games are very simple, mostly involving a basic interface consisting of clicking and reading.  The Persona game is entitled Persona Ain Soph, or Poo for short (see right).  Yeah – that will be changed for the English version…

I started playing back when I was in Japan since I could play from school.  You are able to pick your character’s name, a Persona, and challenge a dungeon.  Your character has stats which you can augment upon leveling.  I picked Obariyon, but didn’t really get too far. Atlusnet has a few other things to offer such as news, forums, contests and more.  I am not positive that Atlus Online will be the same thing, but think it is very likely a lot of the same elements will be imported.

Those who sign up for Atlus Online early will be allowed to sign up for the first game Atlus is bringing to AO.  Could it be Poo?  God, I hope so.
