The growing frenzy that is Dissidia: Final Fantasy has spawned its own line of Trading Arts figures, and volume 1 has been revealed which includes 5 total figures on the side of light or Cosmos.

Damn it Square Enix, are you trying to cripple the American economy further by releasing even MORE figures I feel compelled to purchase?  While I am disgusted by your underhanded tactics, I have no choice but continue to mindlessly consume.

	Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts Cloud Strife Price = $10.39 Cloud’s outfit hasn’t changed much from the original Final Fantasy VII.  If any changes have been made, it’s that his outfit is a bit more realistic looking, especially in the pants department.
	Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts Squall Leonheart Price = $10.39 Squall looks a little more mature in Dissidia. The changes are subtle, but I almost didn’t recognize him in the recent trailer when dueling with Sephiroth.
	Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts Tidus Price = $10.39 Tidus’s outift has a few new details: a longer collar, tattered pantlegs, and whatever those reddish-orange things are.
	Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts Zidane Tribal Price = $10.39 Zidane’s original character design was very cartoony, and Square Enix has done what they can to make him fit in with the more realistic characters.  I think they did the best they can without completely overhauling him.
	Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts The Warrior of Light Price = $XX.XX One of the Warriors of Light from the original Final Fantasy.  It should be noted that this figure is not on sale individually at Kidnemo.  I think you can only get him if you purchase the box of 6 random figures for $52.79.

Square Enix merchandise is seriously getting out of hand.  Soon they may even surpass Disney, their partner in crime.  I think Squall may be my favorite figure of the group, but I am still not positive if I am going to order him.

I have been waiting for a decent Cloud figure from Kingdom Hearts since the damn game came out, which was way too long ago (2002).  Each painful day passed Cloud-less, although I did have the Formation Arts Cloud, which was close.  But he and I both knew it wasn’t enough.  I humbly bowed before the action figure gods, and the sky opened up:

	Kingdom Hearts: Play Arts Vol.2 Cloud Strife Price = $22.39 People may knock Tetsuya Nomura’s character design, and maybe he is losing it a bit, but I believe this was the peak of his work.  I love the bandaged buster sword, and the small new details.
	Kingdom Hearts: Play Arts Vol.2 Sephiroth Price = $22.39 The most badass boss in Kingdom Hearts.  The newly designed Sephiroth has a single wing and red trim on his normal outfit.  He of course comes equipped with the Masamune.
	Kingdom Hearts: Play Arts Vol.2 Halloween Town Sora Price = $19.99 Halloween Town is always the coolest world in Kingdom Hearts.  Just by going there Sora will don this Nightmare Before Christmas themed outfit.  He also is equipped with the Pumpkin Head keyblade.

KidNemo also has Dissidia Potions on sale, which I guess are pretty rare, judging by the $19.99 per (random) can price tag.  I still never opened my Cloud or Yuffie Advent Children Potions, I am bad when it comes to hoarding things.

These figures aren’t scheduled to be released until April of next year, so maybe the title for this post is a bit premature.  If you are thinking that you need both Cloud and Sephiroth (which you do), KidNemo offers them in a bundle which is $43.99, so you can save a bit of scratch.  Commence frantic consuming.

You heard right, Konamistyle has just revealed 3 new t-shirts to accentuate the excitement of the upcoming Meme Expansion for Metal Gear Online.  The shirts are available for pre-order at Konamistyle for 3,465 yen (around $34).

 I think the C-Box shirt is my favorite. According to Konamistyle’s website, it is selling more than the other 2. I love how Old Snake is peeking out of the back of the shirt… genius! You gotta love the engrish too.

The Animal shirt is definitely my second favorite. I love how the designers used the various animal badges the player can earn in MGS4. Also the use of colors is great.

A while back Konami also designed a set of 4 pantless, uber-adorablized figures from MGS4.  The set is dubbed Metal Gear Sold 4 x Figumate Sweet Snake:

The set includes the following characters: Snake Raiden Otacon Ocelot

Raiden is definitely the coolest of the 4, and for some reason I am attracted to Ocelot…  I think he may look a little too much like a girl.  If you are interested in purchasing the set, it’s available for $28.79 here at KidNemo.  The estimated date of availability is the end of January 2009.

As for the shirts, once they are released on the 27th of this month, I am sure we’ll see them flooding eBay.  And thankfully, they are available in sizes S-XL!

The legacy of Final Fantasy VII refuses to fade away. With each addition to the story, the amount of merchandise also increases.  Luckily the quality seems to only improve.  This next line of Final Fantasy VII figures from the PSP game Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII are due out some time in January next year. 

	Cloud Strife height: 21 cm price: $39.90 The conflicted hero of the Final Fantasy VII franchise.  Here he appears in his true form during the goings-on before Final Fantasy VII.
	Aerith Gainsborough height: 19 cm price: $39.90 The young flower girl with a strong connection to the planet and lifestream.  It’s AERITH.
	Zach Fair height: 22 cm price: $39.90 Cloud’s war-buddy and the man whom he creates an identity from.  The figure features the earliest Buster Sword.  Put it on your Advent Children Cloud action figure to rip a hole in the action-figure-space-time-continuum!

It would be awesome to have all three of these figures, but at 40 bucks a pop… that’s a bit steep.  I think just about everyone has at least one Cloud Strife action figure, I personally have 3 and I admit that’s too many.

I really like Aerith’s outfit in Crisis Core, but this is Zack’s first appearance as an action figure, although he has appeared as a statue.  In my opinion he is possibly the most desirable of the 3.  Sorry Cloud, hope that doesn’t cripple you mentally and cause you to develop a disorder where you don’t know your true identity.
