My Disgaea 3 file looks significantly different before and after the DLC that NIS released. In Japan, where the DLC has pretty much been wrapped up, Ascii Media Works (the company behind Dengeki) has announced that the original guide for Disgaea 3 is being revised and re-released to included the new DLC.
The supplemental contents total 40 pages and include the following:
- Data for the 25 new DLC characters including stats, evilities, and skills.
- Tips for Command Attack and Survival mode
- Info for all new items that can be acquired through Command Attack mode etc.
- Walkthrough for the 4 chapters and 16 stages of Raspberyl’s new scenario
- Illustrations of new skill including Magichange
As an added bonus, the guide comes with 6 postcards featuring art of various DLC characters:
The guide is only available online, and (supposedly) won’t be sold in stores. Pre-orders are available now until April 10th through dengeki-ya here. The guide is going for 1,995 yen and ships on April 23rd. Obviously this is only for shipping within Japan, so on the off chance you live in Japan… there you go.
I think it is pretty cool that this guide is being made, or remade rather. There should definitely be some changes made to the Doublejump Books guide concerning ultimate damage now that the DLC characters are coming out. Maybe they are waiting until all DLC has been released and making an online-only guide for the new content? Maybe not.
