Final Fantasy XIII New Screens: With English AND Bahamut
A few new screens from Final Fantasy XIII provide a first look at Fang’s summon Bahamut. Bahamut is one of the most popular summons, appearing in (nearly) every Final Fantasy. He is also generally one of the stronger summons that the player can take advantage of, usually being unlocked towards the end of each respective game.
I am not sure why, but ever since Final Fantasy X it seems like the gang over at Square Enix have really taken some creative liberties with Bahamut’s design. I am all for change but as long as it is done well. This design doesn’t seem quite as outlandish as some from the past, but I am still a tad disappointed.
My first gripe: the apparent lack of wings. It’s possible the purplish flaps behind his legs are wings and it’s also possible the little frills on his shoulders wings. Either way, this form looks more like an EVA than Bahamut. I am hoping that when he changes forms he sprouts some bitching wings and becomes more presentable.
Anyone have any guesses as to what Bahamut transforms into? I am going with lollercopter.
Persona 3 Portable: More Yukiko
[flash http://movie.atlusnet.jp/p3p/yukiko.flv w=360 h=224]
A short video was added to the official Persona 3 Portable site showing the female protagonist meeting Yukiko for the first time. Nothing too exciting… The female main is hanging out with the arts/culture S-Link and the sports S-Link when they are approached by Yukiko who mentions she is from Amagi Inn. The group assumes that Yukiko is in high school, but are surprised to find out she is actually in middle school.
It’s not looking like this crossover will be super important to the story, but I am excited about it nonetheless. I wish I was as cool as Yukiko in middle school OR high school…
Valkyria Chronicles 3: Only if You’re a Good Consumer

Sega’s Assistant Community Manager replied to some complaints concerning Valkyria Chronicles’ move to the PSP via Sony’s Euro blog. Regarding the change he stated:
So far it seems like most of the fans are really just happy to see the series continue – and, if VCII sells well, it means a much greater chance that the series can pick up again back on a larger console, like the PS3.
In other words: we are holding Valkyria Chronicles 3 ransom, and we want that doughnut money. I can’t say I approve, but I will turn over my doughnut money forthwith. Wow, that was a lot of unnecessary movie references.
