Final Fantasy XIII Elixir Details

With Final Fantasy XIII’s Japanese release around the corner, Square Enix has kicked their merchandise campaign for the game  into high gear.  In addition to a set of figures, they have also released images for a set of Elixir themed after the game.   There are two different versions consumers can… well consume, or drink rather.  The first would just be the 16 cans pictured here:

The second version, which is considerably more desirable, consists of a random can bundled with a random figure (pictured top).  The designs on the bundled cans appear to differ from the standard versions.  Up until now the 6th mystery figure was unknown, but this image reveals that it is in fact the internet’s favorite tattooed-lance-wielder, Fang.  I can only imagine what these will be going for on eBay…

Play-Asia has started pre-orders for random cans from the standard set divided into two versions for some reason (1 and 2) for $6.90 each.  I remember when you could get a soder pop for seventy-five cents…  The version bundled with the figure will being pre-orders in the near future.

The standard set goes on sale December 8th in Japan, and the figure version on December 22nd.  I have personally never consumed any of the Potions/Elixir I own, but I don’t mind adding a few more to my collection!  I think the Fang one, the baby chocobo one are my favorites.
