Some new Final Fantasy XIII merchandise has become available on Square Enix’s official online shop for Japan including two shirts featuring summons from the game. Odin (above left) appears a little faded and blotchy, almost like a Rorschach test with pink detail on a plain white tee. The Shiva sisters (above right) appear a little more realistic with warm blue details on an off-white shirt.
Both shirts (Odin, Shiva) are available for 3,900 yen, or around $45 USD with men and women’s sizes in medium and large. It is a bit expensive especially when you factor in shipping, which would probably need to be through Celga or a similar service. Still, I can dream can’t I?
The obvious question now is what other summons will be slapped on shirts, if any. Bahamut? Yes please!
Another suggestion: I think it would be cool if the back of the shirts featured the summons in gestalt mode instead of just being blank, especially for the kind of bones Square Enix is demanding. Maybe that conflicts with the simplicity of the shirts though…
