Every Friday I make a post containing links to interesting articles I have found throughout the week. If you already follow me on Twitter, then you will have probably seen most of the following links. Don’t forget to like the Kotowari Facebook page as well. Enjoy!
LOOK
- Rumor has it that the development of Final Fantasy Versus XIII has quietly been cancelled as Square Enix gears up for either Final Fantasy XV or *sigh*… Final Fantasy XIII-3. I’ve got to wonder, what’s worse at this point for Square Enix: canceling a highly anticipated game, or releasing a sub-par one? They certainly don’t seem to have an issue with the latter. ZING.
- We can expect some concrete details in September when Square Enix will be holding a stage event specifically to discuss the future of Final Fantasy.
- A great article exploring the klout of shooters in the gaming industry/market and the violence that fuels them.
- From Persona 2, check out this Lisa Silverman figure — I’m amazed at how well it captures Kazuma Kaneko’s unique aesthetic.
- New merch from NIS! I want all of this, especillay the Asagi keychain…
- The Capcom Bar in Tokyo has refreshed its menu with more Capcom based delicacies. I’m normally a big Monster Hunter fan, but that Sengoku-Basara-themed seared tuna looks good. I’d like to wash that down with a Ryu’s Hadouken.
- A thorough look at the battery life of all the current gen portable gaming consoles.
- Amazon is having a Summer Road Trip sale on portable games, systems, and peripherals. (Note that the 3G Vita is a part of this sale!)
- New Tokyo Jungle DLC lets you play as a Japanese salary man. You may notice the salary man’s speed is off the charts…
