Every Friday I make a post containing links to interesting articles I have found throughout the week. If you already follow me on Twitter, then you will have probably seen most of the following links. Don’t forget to like the Kotowari Facebook page as well. Enjoy!
LOOK
- 1Up interviewed one of the unsung heroes of the Final Fantasy franchise. A great read if you’re a fan of old school RPGs or even simply RPG battle systems. Highly recommended read!
- A good write-up on Earth Defense Force 2017 portable. I’m really hoping this game will offer an enjoyable multiplayer experience I’ve yet to have with my sorely underused Vita.
- You guys like some Studio Ghibli conspiracy theories? I know I do!
- There is officially an english version of Nico Nico Douga!
- I’m always on the lookout for good survival-horror games, which are (sadly) few and far between. One of the most celebrated and, apparently, hated games in the genre is getting a director’s cut for the PS3. May have to check this out!
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was my PSX era Dark Souls. This article/interview gives some amazing insight into the game’s development. Could another title in the series be on the horizon!?
- OMG CHARIZARD 3DS XL
- Find your Pokemon type based on your birthday! I’m Ghost and Steel! A combo that is so awesome, no such Pokemon exists!
- Amazon is having a sale on SPOOKY games for Halloween! Here are a few worth mentioning:
- Devil May Cry Collection = $17.99
- Lollipop Chainsaw = $19.99
- The Darkness II = $19.99
- Newly in-stock! 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors — I grabbed a copy of this visual novel-style DS game myself based entirely on all the acclaim surrounding it.
WATCH
If you’re into animation, Japanese or otherwise, you must check out Transfer. Read the whole story here.
I found the first Bioshock to be hauntingly brilliant, the second… not so much. While I’m still on the fence about Bioshock Infinite this trailer did raise some goosebumps.
Just a friendly reminder that the Dark Souls Artorias of the Abyss DLC released this week for the humble price of $15.00. BUY IT. One more time for good measure. BUY IT.
This video is kinda old news but, if you haven’t seen it, it will make you smile.
I don’t much care for Mario, but this video is pretty awesome.
I recorded a video of a marathon quest run in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
