Index and Atlus Merger: The Brand Lives On

Yesterday Index Holdings announced that Atlus Japan merged with their mobile development branch.  The company’s mobile end develops tools and programs for Japanese cellular phones.  The reason given for the merger is “to strengthen the overall management of the companies and to strengthen the value of the companies involved.”

Mergers are scary.  For that reason I want to make clear that the Atlus brand will not be going anywhere.  This seems to be a topic of some confusion on the web.  I believe people jumped on covering this merger and started considering the worst, which I suppose is only natural.

Atlus fans can rest assured that little will change.  Index is a massively successful company in Japan and I doubt they would muddle up the success that Atlus has already established.
