Square Enix has finally revealed the exclusive Nintendo DSi that will be bundled with Kingdom Hearts 358/2 in Japan come May 30th. It appears to be the standard black DSi adorned with some of the various icons that appear in the Kingdom Hearts series.
Honestly, I find this design a little boring and was hoping for more out of Square Enix. I was expecting a really unique design, or at the very least a unique color. I guess I am glad that it’s not just the logo for the game pasted on the front – that would be a real cop-out. Who knows, maybe the DSi is more spectacular in person.

I am still really looking forward to another Kingdom Hearts title. I think it is one of the most unique video game series out there and I really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts II. Just yesterday NG5 and I were talking about how much we prefer Roxas to Sora, so I would say we are both excited about playing from his point of view.

How Many Nintendo DSis Can I Put You Down For?

A simple and clean design is always a good way to go, not the best, but good.
I agree that Roxas was a better character than Sora…I mean, the first half-hour you play as him in the second game, was probably the only part I enjoyed when I was playing it.
Also how is the title supposed to be pronounced?
Kingdom Hearts 2 was a great game, and just to put this out there, I HATED the first game. It’s probably one of my most hated video games of all time, seriously.

Ah, cool thanks, Jink. I always felt retarded when reading about this game, because of it.
I still feel retarded when I read the name. I can’t imagine how stupid I would feel asking for a copy of this game at a brick and mortar retail store.
I like it when people try to pronounce the name of the game they want to buy, my favorite is when someone asked for Ar Tonelico… “AY-ARE TEN-UH-LEE-KO”
I have horrible memories concerning me trying to purchase a Ys game at GameStop.
“Can I have a copy of Why Ehs The Ark of Napishitifishm?”
I still say Disgaea wrong, but I sound so sure of myself no one corrects me!
I’m a wimp when I don’t know how to pronounce a game. I always ask for “that new game by ” or I just point to the game box.
I don’t find it boring, I find it…actively disliked. By me.
It’s gross.
And Jink, no, according to the katakana it’s “three-five-eight days over two.”
Actually the game is pronounced “Kingdom Hearts: Blatant Abuse of Sequel Naming Power”
Man I don’t understand the Kingdom Hearts hate. I totally love the series, although I skipped over Chains of Memory. I admit it took me a while to get into the first game, but once I did I really loved it. I have some great memories of playing it though.
I agree that the title is a bit redonk, it seems like Square Enix enjoys pushing the limits of the mind.
Oh. I don’t find the series gross at all. I love it, actually.
It’s that awful DS design.
Just wanted to add my two cents, love the series, and I’d probably buy this DSi if it came to America, but I doubt it will. Also, I think that 358/2 is probably in reference to the 358 days Sora spent asleep after COM (spoilers?) which were then split between two people (Sora and Roxas), but I have to add in the cliche reaction:
“358/2? That’s 179! How did I miss Kingdom hearts 3 through 178?!”
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 isn’t nearly as ridiculous a title as Super Robot Taisen Original Generation Saga: Endless Frontier EXCEED!
