Makai Senki Disgaea 3 Jobclass: Wiseman
My girlfriend named my Wiseman John Quincy Adams. I guess he does resemble him a bit…
Job class: Wiseman (??)
Evility: Geo Energy (??????)
Evility Effect: For every color of geo-block on the map, Wiseman receives a 10% stat boost.
Prerequisite: Cleric and Martial Artist (either sex) level 25.
*NOTE* Must also pass bill entitled “???????????”, or “I want to make a Geo-master” for 300 mana in homeroom.
Suggested weapons: Fist, Staff

Unique Abilities
I translated all of this info from a Japanese Disgaea wiki, which is very informative. The Wiseman is one of the more interesting mage classes in Disgaea 3. He does suffer low HP and DEF, as most mages do. However, he has some interesting Evilities which allow him to stand out.
First of all, his inherent Evility, Geo Energy, gives him a 10% stat boost per geo-block color on the map. Most story maps lack the number of geo-blocks necessary to really boost the Wiseman’s stats. The randomness of the Item and Academy World is where you will find maps littered with geo blocks.
If you combine this Evility with the Wiseman’s rank 6 Evility which further boosts his stats for each acquired bonus rank, you’ll have a pretty solid Mage. Since the Item World and Academy World are where the player will spend most of the post-game, it only makes sense to bring a unit who excels there.
If you are interested in getting a Sorcerer and Cheerleader early in the game, you will need to get your Wiseman to level 25. I highly recommend equipping your Wiseman with a decent muscle to allow him to take more than 1 hit from an enemy. If you don’t plan on keeping your Wiseman, you may want to reincarnate him into either of the aforementioned classes. This way the new unit will retain his skills Star and Heal.
