Female Samurai

Job class: Samurai (侍) NA = Lady Samurai
Evility: Still water calmness (明鏡止水)
Evility Effect: When a Lady Samurai attacks a unit independent of any allied units, her attack power is increased by 30%.
Prerequisite: Archer and Valykrie Level 35
*NOTE*: Must also pass bill entitled “サムライ女を作りたいでござる”, or “I humbly wish to make a Lady Samurai” for 700 mana in home room.
Suggested weapons: Bow, Sword

Job class: Samurai (侍-male)
Evility: Bushido (武士道)
Evility Effect: When a Samurai attacks a unit from the front, his damage is increased by 30%.
Prerequisite: Ranger and Warrior Level 35
*NOTE*: Must also pass bill entitled “サムライ男を作りたいでござる”, or “I humbly wish to make a Samurai” for 700 mana in home room.
Suggested weapons: Spear, Sword

2	Armor Pierce	When performing a normal physical attack, the Samurai is guaranteed to do damage of at least 25% of his normal attack. The enemies stats and level are ignored.
4	Kamikaze	When a Samurai’s HP falls below 25%, his critical damage increases 100%.
6	Killing for Heaven	When a Samurai attacks a human type unit, his damage is increased by 25%.

I translated all of this info from a Japanese Disgaea wiki, which is very informative. In Makai Senki Disgaea 3, the Samurai comes fully equipped with an insane Attack stat and decent Evilities. In addition to high offensive capabilities, the Lady Samurai’s Mind’s Eye ability negates any benefits an enemy would gain by attacking from the side or back. This will prove helpful for long dungeon crawling when a little HP makes a huge difference.

Additionally, the Lady Samurai’s Seppuku Assistant evility means that a level 1 Samurai could technically kill a level 9999 Majin with less than 25% of his max HP–pretty insane. Both jobs come with an Evility that deals extra damage to either monster or human class characters. Which one is more helpful? Hard to say really, in both the main story and item world it’s about a 50-50 split. It depends on the player’s preference.
