We all know it’s coming out, but is it a good deal? In my opinion hell yes, but opinions don’t mean much without some logic behind them. First let us break the contents of the bundle down into easy to understand parts:

• Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
  • Quite possibly the most exciting game to be released on the PS3 (exclusivly) since it has arrived on the market.
  • Retail value = $59.99
• Wireless Dual Shock III Controller (dark green)
  • Features the vibration feature of the old dual shock controller and the motion sensing capabilities of the sixaxis
  • You can play MGS4 right away, the way it was meant to be played.
  • Retail value = $54.99
• 80 GB Playstation III (dark green)
  • The 80 GB version is the only version in production which still features backwards compatibility with PS2, and PS1 games. The system is not flawless, but Sony is releasing patches with a desired goal of 100% backwards compatability.
  • Numbers make things easy to understand. The 80 GB has the most memory (duh), and 4 USB ports instead of 2 with the 40 GB. Rock Band much?
  • Retail value = $500-600.00

Both the bundle and the game will be released worldwide on June 12th. I highly recommended reserving the bundle to be on the safe side.  If you have not yet purchased a PS3 because you are “waiting for the right time”, I daresay this is it.
