Muramasa: The Demon Blade Vita Port Getting DLC With 4 New Characters

Yesterday Marvelous AQL announced concrete details concerning their Vita port of Muramasa: The Demon Blade.  First revealed during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press event, the Vita port will be released on March 28th in Japan for 4,980 yen.  Most excitingly, the press statement also details plans for DLC to include four additional main characters.  Each of the four new downloadable characters will include their own short story scenarios with full voice acting.  There is no word on the price of these downloadable contents in the press statement, but I expect we can have an idea early next year.

I can’t wait to see the new character’s sprites – Vanillaware is renowned for making some of the most impressive 2D art in modern gaming.  Props to Marvelous for adding some substantial content to an already great title.  These additions should be enough to encourage those who played the game to revisit it and those who didn’t to take the plunge.
