Medicom Toys has announced a second series of 5 Metal Gear Solid themed figures. The characters being immortalized are Vamp, Old Snake, The Boss, Naked Snake, and Raiden. Above is an image of each character from the front, and you can view them from the back here (Warning: close-up Old Snake ass). Each figure is already available on Play-Asia for pre-order for $34.90. This price is actually pretty close to the Japanese price which ranges from 3,300-3,600 yen.
I suppose the cost is a bit steep, but the figures do look a little more detailed than the first set, also made by Medicom. I also appreciate that they chose to have some figures that are not the protagonists of games in the series. Technically only Old Snake and Naked Snake would fall under that category since we sadly never get to play as cyborg-ized Raiden.
Right now the two that interest me the most are The Boss (equipped with the Patriot) and Naked Snake. I kinda like the Naked Snake in the first set better though… The only actual Metal Gear figure I ever owned was a Solid Snake one made by McFarlane Toys, which was pretty weird looking.
