Mage Rogue Princess

Samurai

Warrior

Recently Takara Tomy A.R.T.S unveiled a new line of gachapon toys modeled after chibi versions of various characters in Sega’s Nintendo DS title Seventh Dragon.  Takara Tomy is known for producing a wide array of toys in Japan, most notable perhaps is their line of collectible Pokémon figures.

The Seventh Dragon series will be released in capsules throughout Japan starting in late July.  There are 5 figures in the first series including the Mage, Rogue, Princess, Samurai, and Warrior.  The price per figure is 300 yen, or around $3 USD.

I am really glad they decided to go with the chibi instead of the more realistic version of each character.  I kinda wish that they were bigger and more detailed like the figures made for Etrian Odyssey, but I guess I am happy with gachapon too.  They totally picked some of my favorite units for the first series, I love the Mage, Warrior, and Rogue especially. The Princess just reminds me of Angelica from Rugrats which is a real turnoff.

If I do find these for sale on any site that ships to the West I will certainly post a follow-up, but I somehow doubt it.
