On Sale Now: Monster Hunter Beginner’s Guide Written By Yours Truly

Post frequency at Kotowari has been all over the place since I lost my job.  Right after it happened, I had a hard time caring about gaming news.  The goings-on of publishers and developers reminded me too much of the same capital-driven world I’d just been ejected from.  Rather than dwell on it, Sarah and I decided to use our newfound free time to open our own online business.  Our first product line would revolve around Monster Hunter — a game I know a thing or two about.

A beginner’s guide was one of our first product ideas.  It made sense given the game’s notorious high bar of entry.  And, of course, our podcast , which chronicles the teacher-student relationship throughout the entirety of Monster Hunter Tri.  For about three months I wrote the hell out of it.  Refined it.  Made it better.  And today, it’s officially done and on sale!

The guide is available in a few different ways:

The Monster Hunter Beginner’s Guide is 60 pages of my accumulated knowledge and love for a series that I just can’t seem to get enough of.  Monster Hunter is a deep gaming experience, and I’m certain I’ve created an amazing resource to help anyone realize that.

    Congrats!
I'm wondering, how those things work. Did you get a license or permission or smth from Capcom? You're clearly using their property in order to get revenue, so do you need to pay them for that?

Just heard about your new book on the 8-4 Play podcast! I think it's a great idea, and I hope that it helps to spread the love of MH around! It's definitely a game that takes some learning in the beginning when you start.
