Over the weekend the official site for Persona 3 Portable went live, revealing the opening video for the game. The theme appears to be that the male and female protagonist are like two sides of a coin, hence the mirror imagery. There are some theories out there regarding the female protagonist’s place in the Persona universe. Honestly, they are all fairly mind-boggling so I will just wait until the game is released and connect the dots.
On the newly launched site both the male and female protagonists have the exact same summary:
- Parents killed in an accident when young
- Moved to suburbs to live with relatives
- After 10 years returns to the city to begin the life of a student
Since this video came out over the weekend I am a tad late posting this (I don’t roll on shabbos). I have noticed that most people are digging the new music, but some miss Burn My Dread. I do like the new sound, seems a bit more laid back yet just as epic. I kinda like how the vocals are a little muffled and at times echo-ey. For some reason I was reminded of the music from the .hack// series. How do you guys feel about the new score?
Other than that the site is very sparse when it comes to info on the game. Considering how close the game’s release date is I think regular updates should begin pretty soon.
