Persona Music Live 2009: Tickets Sold Out Already
If you happen to live in Japan (more specifically the Tokyo area) do you mind if I crash at your place until September 19th? If you also happen to have an extra ticket to Persona Music Live 2009 I think we may become close friends. Who am I kidding? Considering the tickets were sold out around 24 hours after going on sale, I think it’s safe to say I won’t be in attendance this year.
In case you’re wondering what you’re missing you can check out a post I wrote about last year’s PML here. You can also watch a short video of the actual event here. As you can tell, it’s quite a production: costumes, choreographed dancing, big flashing screens, etc.
I am not sure if it was due to the overwhelming popularity of the first show or the new venue, but ticket prices went up since the first PML. Rather than the $45 USD price tag per ticket, a generic seat would run you 5,000 yen, or around $55 USD. The option of a “premium-seat” is also available for a hefty 10,000 yen, or around $110 USD. Customers who purchase the premium-seat package obviously get a better seat, access to a different entrance to the venue, and receive a special unknown present.
Since all the tickets have been sold out, the only place you can find them any longer is on sites like Rakuten and Yahoo Auction. Here are 3 regular tickets to the show currently going for 18,900 yen or $200 USD — tempting.
Artists in attendance this year include Yumi Kawamura, Lotus Juice, Shihoko Hirata, and even Shoji Meguro. I can only imagine the barrage of panties he will be at the opposite end of.
The concert will be help on September 19th. Those of us who won’t be in attendance may consider purchasing the DVD of last years event which is scheduled to be released September 16th.
