Prinny guide

To those of you who are having a hard time with Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? there may be some help on the horizon.  That help comes from none other than DoubleJump Books, my favorite guide makers.  Since a Prinny guide will probably just be a collection of data, the guide is rather small (just over 100 pages) and will only be available in a digital form.  Currently you can purchase an incomplete guide for $9.99.  The guys at DoubleJump estimate that the guide will be complete in a couple days, but those who purchase now won’t be missing anything.  The additional data will be added and made available for the customer.

So why was this guide not finished, you ask?  According to DoubleJump, the game “turned out to be way harder and longer than we anticipated.“  I totally had the same issue when trying to write my review, so I was glad to see that I’m not alone!

If you wanna check out a few pages, you can do so here.  It’s already appealing to me, especially the section on all the different awards you can earn.  I don’t even wanna think about how much time one would have to waste to earn them all, let alone Prinsanity.

It’s rather disappointing that this will only be available digitally, since I would love to own a physical copy.

I’m playing through Prinny right now, and daaaaaamn, is it frikkin hard. Currently on the Sage Alter stage where you fight the Chefbot9000, for some reason I’m having a really tough time with him. I know the strategy to beat him, and I have gotten close to it multiple times, but I just keep doing stupid mistakes. Even though this is very, very hard and frustrating(I nearly snapped my PSP in two on several occasions) this is one of the best PSP titles I’ve played in a loooong time. Also the alternate storyline cheat is available on the US version, and it’s just revised a little: Triangle, Square, Circle, Triangle, Square, Circle, X. I’m going to give it a try once I complete the game.

I am a little sad there isn’t a physical guide that was slapped in one of the Rosenqueen bundles. $9.99 for a 100 page guide seems a bit steep, but combined with something else I might justify it.

That Chefbot9000 battle took me about 2-3 days of pure raging. I ended up winning with like 0:02 seconds left too. I think it took about 2 years off my life.

I made an update a few days ago about the password, and I played a bit of Asagi mode. It is markedly more challenging, but I would do anything for Asagi.
