Trickroom Pokémon Events by Alice
If you bought Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver and are eager to start getting some uber-mons on your file, you’re in luck. A growing community of fans has emerged called “Trick Room”, headed by a generous soul named Alice. By slightly altering your online settings and entering the in-game GTS, players can trick the game into thinking it’s receiving a pokémon via Nintendo, when in fact it’s coming from Alice.
The pokémon Alice uploads are generally rare or difficult to acquire without the use of an Action Replay. They also may come with a set combo in mind. For instance, I stumbled upon this operation last night when a “Flinchsparce” was the ‘mon of the day. This Dunsparce’s move-set includes the best flinch inducing attacks, and he’s equipped with a King’s Rock for added flinch-ifying. The received pokémon are also fully EV trained and generally have the optimal nature. There may even be a shiny pokémon from time to time!
Here is a rundown on how to set up your DS:
Obviously using these pokémon will alter the difficulty of your game, so those who want to keep their game “pure” will probably avoid this. If there are any pokémon events in your area through Game Stop or etc., you would need to change your Wi-Fi settings back to participate.
I for one am eagerly awaiting the next pokémon that Alice will be bringing to greedy poké-fans all over the world!
