White Knight Chronicles Video Review
By now everyone has already made up their mind about White Knight Chronicles, possibly detracting from this vlog’s relevancy. Still, news has been slow lately and since both NG5 and myself played WKC we decided to make a video to muster up some content. We were in agreement concerning most aspects of the game and why it may have been released to a dull sigh rather than an echoing cheer.
As I mention towards of the end of the video, I spent over 100 hours with WKC so it definitely has something to offer hardcore gamers, MMO fanatics; even those looking for a simple RPG experience will probably be satisfied with the main story. Perhaps this is why the game was less than successful — rather than nailing any of those genres, it lazily touched upon each one.
The game’s few shining innovations served to keep the title in my PS3 for close to a month. The avatar system and online play were great; however, after spending a lot of time online, I realize there is a point where effort drastically exceeds reward for quests. I imagine this is where most players would simply put the game away. Reaching this point online will take a while, promising at least initially a healthy online experience.
