Windy Windam Teaser Website Goes Live
Ninja Studio and Success, the forces behind Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns, have posted a teaser website to a game entitled Windy Windham (???????????). You can access the teaser website here.
After doing some digging I’ve learned that Windy Windam will be a 2-D fighter for the Nintendo DS. There is very little out there about this title, but I managed to grab some screen shots from Rakuten. If you want to see more click here.
It appears to be like any other 2D fighter, you can square off against a friend or duke it out with the computer. The title will be easy enough for beginners to the 2D fighting genre, but complex enough to keep seasoned pros interested.
The biggest mystery to me is what is going on in the second screenshot (the one with Izuna). The bottom screen of the DS shows a map of a place which appears to be called “Wa_Hoo”. The player is also given information about Wa_Hoo like the population, weather, and time. Why would information like this be necessary in a 2D fighter?
In the top screen Izuna is talking to Ashley, the fighter who appears in the sky on the leftmost screenshot. There is a “skip” option available leading me to believe it is a story sequence.
I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this title.
